LIGHT A LUMINARIA FOR A LOVED ONE
What is a Luminaria Lighting Ceremony?
A Luminaria is a candle set into a special white paper bag filled with sand. When the candle is lit, it illuminates the area around it radiating a soft body of light. Luminarias are purchased in memory of a loved one, a friend, or someone you know who has passed away form cancer. They are also purchased as a symbol of life for someone you know who is a cancer survivor. The name of the person you are honoring is printed on the bag with any inscriptions you wish to have written. When the Luminaria is lit your words of loving and caring hide the light making your words the words of support and comfort to everyone who sees it. These Luminarias will light the River Walk for the participants during the ceremony.
